Živogošće Blato is a small tourist place on the Makarska Riviera, known as the peaceful oasis for pleasant family vacation. Beautiful sandy beaches offer richness of crystal clear sea, scents and shades of thick pine trees, and the footpaths intertwine from walking paths alongside the seaside, through the hamlets with the native Dalmatian architecture, all the way to the peaks of the Biokovo Mountain which has a view on islands of Hvar, Brač, and Pelješac peninsula. Central beach of this place is suitable for families with children, and many of those hidden coves will provide a place for more intimate and tranquil atmosphere. Main beach is never overcrowded, even in the peak of the summer season, and it’s always possible to find vacant spot on it. Walking path stretched along the beachside has catering outlets and activities suited for children, and few coffee bars, restaurants and shops. There is also a small port, offering launch service, stevedoring service, and berths for boats and speedboats. There is an option to rent a boat, or to have boat trip across the coast on the neighboring islands of Hvar, Brač and Korčula. Because of its geographical location Živogošće Blato is a suitable as the point of departure for the one-day trips to Dubrovnik, Mostar, Split, Catholic pilgrimage of Medjugorje, as well as neighboring islands, and Pelješac peninsula.
